Another top 10 finish in a row – Lindell in top form!

Oliver Lindell continues his top performances, taking another consecutive top 10 finish on the DP World Tour. His seventh place in the last competition was close to improving, as Lindell was tied for eighth place with a score of -8. On the final day, the Finn managed to deliver his best performance of the week, which he had dared to hope for in advance.

"It was the best day of the week. The 17th hole got away from me a little more today and I couldn't save the par, but otherwise it was a really strong performance."

A top 10 finish was very important in the battle for the season's climactic finals. It was also a welcome success in front of a large audience, which included several close friends and family members.

"A good competition overall, all rounds under par, so I can be satisfied. The first day's lead was lost due to a brilliant week, but it's another good step closer to the finals. My short game and putter worked very well, and that's how I got into the top 10," Lindell said.

Lindell advanced hand in hand with fellow Finnish player Sami Välimäki, and they shared 8th place, even though the Finnish group they both hoped for did not make it to Sunday. The pair will next travel to Switzerland after a week's break. Lindell, who has been suffering from a slight cold, is happy to take a week's break in Finland.

"I managed to play well with a slightly blocked nose, as I didn't have a fever. Now I'll have a good week off here, and then it's off to Switzerland, and hopefully also Ireland, and the BMW tournament, if I do well in one of the first two tournaments. I'm not entirely sure how high I need to be in the rankings to qualify for the BMW Wentworth tournament."

The home crowd was disappointed when England's Marco Peng defeated Rasmus Hojgaard with a single stroke. Hojgaard's eagle on the last hole blew the Danish crowd away and forced Peng to make a birdie for his second win of the season.
